Job Description

The Account Representative plays a pivotal role in nurturing and expanding our customer base, focusing on the meticulous management of daily shipment operations. The Account Representative builds robust customer relationships, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service levels that surpass our clients’ expectations. This position will report directly to the Director, Account Management.

Requirements

  • Forge and sustain strong customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact to facilitate a seamless service experience.
  • Ensure superior customer service through proactive inbound and outbound communication, addressing queries, and providing timely updates.
  • Strategically builds loads, guaranteeing precise shipment details and documentation for accuracy.
  • Coordinate scheduling for both pick-up and delivery, optimizing efficiency and punctuality.
  • Collaborate closely with carrier sales teams, aligning efforts to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Oversee daily load management, swiftly resolving any issues to maintain on-time performance and customer trust.
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot potential challenges during transit, employing creative solutions to maintain service integrity.
  • Thrive in a competitive, team-oriented environment, contributing to collective goals with innovative thinking.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, reflecting a strong academic background.
  • Prior experience in sales or customer service roles, with a preference for expertise in truck brokerage operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of initiative and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Independent work style, marked by a proactive approach and the capacity to lead initiatives without constant supervision.
  • Superior communication abilities, with the skill to negotiate effectively and build lasting relationships.
  • A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, with a keenness to acquire new skills and apply them to enhance job performance.

Physical Demands:

  • Extended Sitting: Primarily desk-based with prolonged computer use.
  • Computer Use: Frequent operation of computers and office equipment, requiring manual dexterity.
  • Eye Strain and Repetitive Motion: Risk from continuous screen use and repetitive tasks like typing.
  • Office Navigation: Light walking and standing for meetings and tasks within the office.
  • Light Lifting: Occasional handling of objects up to 20 pounds.
