Job Description
The L&D Manager focuses on designing, implementing, and overseeing learning and development programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees across the company. The L&D Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional service and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Learning & Development, Training, or similar role within a mid to large-sized organization.
- Certification or advanced training in LEAN, Six Sigma, or a related methodology is preferred.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing effective training programs.
- Familiarity with UKG solutions is considered a plus, indicating an advantageous understanding of advanced HR technology platforms that could enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of learning programs.
- Experience working in the transportation, logistics, or a related industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Proficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Ability to analyze data and assess program effectiveness.
- Creative in developing engaging and effective training materials and methods.
- Solid understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
- Must be willing to travel 15% of the time.
Physical Demands:
- This position may require travel to various company locations on the East and West Coast.
- Extended Sitting: Primarily desk-based with prolonged computer use.
- Computer Use: Frequent operation of computers and office equipment, requiring manual dexterity.
- Eye Strain and Repetitive Motion: Risk from continuous screen use and repetitive tasks like typing.
- Office Navigation: Light walking and standing for meetings and tasks within the office.
- Light Lifting: Occasional handling of objects up to 20 pounds.
