Job Summary:

We are seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor to join our NRS team of logistics experts in Savannah, GA. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the operations during assigned shift. This includes supervising a team of employees who receive, store, distribute inventory, as per customer requirements. The successful candidate has excellent customer service skills and proven ability to motivate his/her team to high performance.

Job Description

  • Collaborate across departments to ensure the highest level of customer service to internal and external partners.
  • Develop strong communication channels within the departments and across the operation to ensure a smooth transition from one shift to the next.
  • Provide continuous direction to Associates regarding proper work methods to help increase Associate performance and business productivity.
  • Engage, develop and motivate Associates in order to drive high performing individuals and teams. Administer progressive discipline to change behavior of substandard performers.
  • Manage a safe and clean workplace by reinforcing accepted Company policies regarding housekeeping and safety. Promote Safety and Good Housekeeping Practices on a daily basis.
  • Inspire and foster an environment where diverse backgrounds are respected and valued.
  • Capture, review and analyze KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) reports in a timely manner to ensure complete understanding of what affects productivity.
  • Work with the Area Manager to forecast staffing needed to ensure workload demands are established to execute productivity.
  • Ensure operational productivity and effectiveness levels are set, maintained and continuously improved.
  • Responsible for the daily reconciliation and accurate reporting of assigned associates’ hours. This includes the accurate recording of Production Data into a daily production report.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience working in warehouse or other fast-paced environments.
  • 3+ experience supervising 10 to 30 hourly associates
  • Distribution experience with big box retailers preferred
  • Excellent leadership abilities
  • Good communication and public relations skills
  • Able to organize, coordinate, and direct team activities
  • Attentive to detail
  • Able to operate PC with proficiency using MS Word and Excel to develop work reports.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for the duration of shift.
  • Possession of a valid Driver’s License and have own reliable transition to commute to/from work preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, as per business needs during our peak season.
