NRS secures another strategic location to meet the needs of their customers.
The newest NRS facility is in the city of San Bernardino, located in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. The 75,240 square foot building boasts more than 100 doors and 700 trailer spots.
NRS broke ground in 2020 working in concert with their client to create a facility that would improve efficiency and bolster capacity. The site will initially be handling an impressive 14 million lbs. of merchandise and can handle up to 18 million lbs. This sizable location will create over 200 jobs at the facility itself as well as new driver jobs to service the building. The official opening of the building is planned for May 10, 2021.
This ability to stand up new facilities in these essential locations is part of how NRS creates impactful strategic results for clients, even as the industrial real estate market gets tighter in places like the Inland Empire. NRS COO, John Hoch, stated, “The foresight to plan and build this facility in the Southern California Inland Empire shows me, and the market, that our executive team is locked into our clients’ future needs.”
Inland Empire is larger than ten US states, 27,000 square miles in all, and has approximately 4 million residents. It consists of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties and includes major cities such as: Riverside, San Bernardino, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Corona, Perris and Fontana. Inland Empire serves as a strategic hub between the Pacific ports and major transportation routes that connect to the rest of the country via Interstates 15 & 10 and Routes SR-215 and SR-21.
NRS continues to drive innovation in logistics for their clients and are planning additional strategic purchases to ensure they have the network needed to support their growth into the next decade.
